The recessed truck scale is first and foremost a space-saver. The recessed scales do not require an overrun, so their installation does not require as much space as in the case of an overrun scale.
Removable hatches located on the platforms and a specially constructed weighbridge bottom provide convenient access to the scale's components, as well as allowing the scale to be cleaned freely without having to lift the structure with a crane, which would incur additional costs.
The recessed truck scales also have the advantage that vehicle traffic can pass directly through the scales.
